Privacy Policy
NGO Nest (ngonest.in) and the NGO Nest app. Last updated 17 October 2026.
Who we are
NGO Nest is a platform that lets non-profit organizations run their own website, memberships, donations, school records and other services. Each NGO decides what it records about its members, donors, students and customers; NGO Nest stores that data on its behalf.
What we collect
- Account: your name and email address, and a password (stored only as a salted hash).
- Membership and donations: details you give an NGO, such as phone number, address, blood group, and for donations the donor name, PAN (for 80G receipts), amount and payment reference.
- School records: where an NGO runs a school, the student's name, class, guardian contact details, fees paid, attendance and exam marks. Guardians see only their own child's records.
- Orders and bookings: name, phone, address and email you give when you buy from, or book a room with, an NGO.
- Technical: sign-in attempts and security logs, used to protect accounts.
How we use it
To provide the services you ask for, issue receipts, ID cards and report cards, keep accounts secure and prevent fraud. We do not sell personal data and do not show advertising.
Who sees it
The NGO you deal with and its authorised staff. Card, UPI and net-banking payments are handled by Razorpay on its own pages; we never see your card number. We use cloud hosting and a database provider to run the service.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Access is limited by organization: staff of one NGO cannot see another NGO's records.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your data at any time; see how to delete your account. Records that law requires an NGO to keep, such as 80G donation receipts, may be retained in anonymised form.
Children
Student records are provided and managed by the school and the child's guardian. The app is not directed at children.
